FED: Kurdish protest breaking up = 2
Kurdish demonstrators stormed the Greek Consulate in Anzac House early today.
The international protest over the capture of Turkish Kurd guerrilla leader Abdullah Ocalan
from a Greek embassy in Kenya spread to Australia around 1am (AEDT) when several protesters
smashed in the ground floor glass facade of the building, at the junction of Hunter and
Castlereagh streets.
In one scuffle a police officer had his arm broken and protesters were repelled with
capsicum spray when police responded to an alarm in what they believed was a break-and-enter.
